RHS N5 Exam Prep 2020

FACULTY INTRODUCTIONML_EiffelTower
Our aim is to equip our pupils with the skills and knowledge required to be truly global citizens, both linguistically and culturally. We offer French, German and Spanish up to Advanced Higher. All of our courses provide learners with the opportunity to develop their communication and interpersonal skills and, indeed, develop a life-long appreciation of other cultures.

At The Royal High School we aim to bring the language to life and enhance pupils’ experience through a wide variety of events such as overseas trips, cultural visits, exchange visits, MFL competitions, food tasting and immersion courses.

Not only does speaking another language sharpen cognitive skills and brain functionality but it also widens future career options. In an increasingly competitive employment market, speaking an additional language gives pupils a competitive edge, offering exciting career prospects and also opportunities for overseas travel.

BGE

Most pupils in S1 and S2 will be progressing through the bench marks of level 3, moving on to encounter level 4 benchmarks in S3. However, all pupils do progress at different rates. The final level achieved at the end of the BGE (S3) will help inform the pathway into National qualifications, at National 3, 4 or 5 level.  Please click on the link below which will highlight all the content and skills that need to be covered before a level can be achieved. This helps to explain why it can take quite a considerable amount of time before a level is achieved. You will find further information about the BGE experience in the tab titled S1 and S2 course info for parents.
