Work for week beginning 18 May

This week we will be looking at the activities you can do in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and you will be making an advertisement for one of your choice. This could be a short video advert/animation or you could design a poster or leaflet instead. Feel free to be as creative as you like with this project!

Work your way through the PowerPoint, the instructions are all on there: Lesson 4

Success Criteria:

  • The name of your activity
  • A description of what exactly it is
  • A rough guide to the cost
  • A rough guide of how long it would take
  • The reasons why it would be good to do the activity (try to be persuasive!)

Completed adverts should be emailed to you Geography teacher.

Work for week beginning 04 May and 11 May

We are starting a new unit on Rural Land Use Conflicts.

Rural just means countryside, and conflicts are when people don’t get on! This unit is all about they way in which different people or groups use the land in the countryside and how they can be in disagreement. We will start by looking at National Parks, which were created to protect our countryside as areas of natural beauty.

Task:

Work your way through the PowerPoints below. Make sure you read each slide carefully so you understand the information or the activity it is asking you to do.

  1. Lesson 1
  2. Lesson 2 / Blank map of National Parks to label
  3. Lesson 3

There is quite a lot of work to be getting on with here. You have until next Friday (15 May) to get this done. Please email your work to your Geography teacher once completed (if you have handwritten it take a photo of it on your iPad). Any questions just ask!
