The Royal High School Events and Fundraising Committee
Our Events and Fundraising Committee (EFC) is part of the Royal High School Parent Council and we actively support parental involvement in raising much needed income for our school. Everyone is welcome to join us. We are a friendly, relaxed group with one clear aim: to make things better for the school community and its users. We meet approximately once a term in the school and all parents and carers are warmly invited to attend these meetings.
Our main roles are to:
• Focus on fundraising which will enhance the experiences of our children at the school
• Welcome and involve families in our activities
• Provide parent help and refreshments at school events
We fundraise by holding events and raffles (this year we are raffling an Apple watch), running uniform, books and equipment exchanges and raising funds for specific projects (we are raising funds to upgrade the water fountains that the young people use).
Over the last couple of years we have raised funds for departments across the school including photography, modern languages, chess club, history and modern studies, maths, support for pupils, home economics, PE, Art, CDT, Geography, Duke of Edinburgh, Media, Manga club and Chemistry.
